Out of the box – environmental outdoor education in Finland

Theme: Environmental education with special emphasize on outdoor learning.

Participating teachers would be offered many “outdoor learning” workshops, tools, materials and examples. Teachers would be encouraged to do “outdoor learning” with the class and increase physical activity at school by being outdoors. They can share the ideas with other teachers.

Course is for all level teachers and others that work in organizations that educate children and youth!
Nature is diverse learning environment for schools. Outdoor learning is experimental, experience-based, hands-on learning in authentic learning environments. Outdoor learning gives also healthy physical exercise. The joy of learning is created through a wide range of outdoor practices. Social skills are also strengthened outdoors. A good relationship with nature created in nature awareness – it is a first step toward sustainable way of life. Outdoor classroom is a healthy learning environment in which pupils learn the new curriculum multidisciplinary.

You can use your finanzing for Erasmus+ KA1 training courses for teachers, school heads and experts for this course. Pre-registration to our courses is free, you pay nothing! You pay only if you get a grant and you are really coming. Our courses are planned mainly for European union Erasmus+ KA1 programme. We give you Europass mobility document and a course certificate. We also help you with accomodation and with planning your journey. Our courses last six days (and if you have a grant for 7-10 days, we can organize for you some extra days). You pay course fee only when you know you get the grant and you have made the Final registration. Course will take place only when we have enough final registrations of minimum 15.

You are also welcome as a private participant. Project is not needed if you have other financial sources.
